On Monday after class, let's go to the UC for some fun and games--bowling, billiards, and ping-pong. Class ends at 12:30 so let's say 1:00. I can hang around until around 3.
Keep reading Holes. I plan to discuss chapters 1-15 with you on Monday or Tuesday. We're going to do something fun with some of the scenes from the novel.
For your midterm exams, there will be a listening test (material to be announced in advance), a reading test (chapters 4-6), and a vocabulary test based on the words you made slides for (called TSchapter1). If you review 10 words a day starting now, you'll be ready for the test. And after the test you'll know A LOT of important words.
Of course, as always, I recommend that you do the practice on the townsendpress.net website.
